In August 2007 at the Joint Advanced Distance Learning Co-Lab
(JADL) Implementation Fest, BBN, together with Eduworks and
ECS, presented a demonstration of the JADL Integrated Prototype
Architecture (based on the DARWARS DTECS). The demonstration
illustrated a commander assigning people to a mission, based
on their competencies and skills. Joe Camacho, Joint Knowledge
Development and Distribution Capability (JKDDC) Joint Management
Office program manager, interrupted the sequence of presentations
to state, "I am personally interested in this."
He further stated how this capability can help his organization
succeed in its mission to improve warfighters' competencies.
He continued to state that he would like to see this work
included in a program of record to support further development
and transition to the operational communities.
